AutoMessage is a vehicle safety web app aimed at drivers in the United Kingdom. The app serves to promote safer driving and help vehicle owners protect their asset. The system involves registering your vehicle online and displaying a disc on the vehicle. The details on the disc can be used by other drivers and members of the public to do the following:
  • Report dangerous or bad driving
  • Report if the vehicle is seen in a suspicious place, unusual place, or left standing on the side of the road (this usually happens when a vehicle is stolen)
  • Report if your vehicle is incorrectly parked
  • Advise if you are about to receive a parking or traffic ticket/fine
  • Leave details of other drivers and insurance if your vehicle is damaged while you are not present.
It will take just 3 minutes to register your GB vehicle for this vehicle safety app.
Have the following details handy when you register:
  • GB vehicle registration number
  • Contact details of vehicle owner in the United Kingdom
  • Card payment details
  • UK delivery address for your display card
The standard subscription is valid for 1 year with the option to renew. However, when checking out, you will see the option to subscribe for 3 years too.
No. When registering with AutoMessage, it is important to let us know how many GB registered vehicles you are signing up. We can only forward notifications for the vehicle’s active on your account.
No, you do not have to register to see the message board. Any users can see messages, but the registration number is hidden from the public. Messages are posted anonymously.
Yes, you can register business vehicles in the United Kingdom the standard way, if you have a fleet of 4 or fewer cars. If you have more than 4 vehicles, contact us directly so that a team member can assist you with registering your business cars.
Your A5 display disc should be placed in an unobstructed, easy to view space. Usually on the rear window.
At the end of your subscription period, or when changing vehicles, you may want to remove the display disc. This must be done with utmost care as AutoMessage accepts no responsibility or liability for damage to paintwork and windows on removal of the disc.
When you join AutoMessage your insurance premiums won’t automatically reduce, but because you will drive better, avoid parking issues and unnecessary fines, your incidents will reduce and your insurance premiums may drop over time. It is recommended that you speak with your insurance provider about the impact of AutoMessage on your premiums. The concept of “How’s my driving” schemes is that drivers act more responsibly when they know they are being monitored.
There is no option for a refund on a 1-year subscription. If you opted for a 3 year membership, the first year cannot be refunded, but we can refund the rest of the funds. Refunds cannot be processed once payment has been received.
While we do everything we can to provide a safe and effective service to our customers, AutoMessage accepts no responsibility for any loss which may arise from using the AutoMessage service. To the fullest extent by English law, we exclude all liability for loss or damages that arise directly or indirectly from the use of AutoMessage.
Road safety is of the utmost importance to the AutoMessage team. While you should aim to report a vehicle or leave a community message board post as soon as possible, we insist that you only do so when it is absolutely safe to. AutoMessage cannot be held responsible or liable for any road accidents, damage, loss or injury due to using the system when it is unsafe to do so.
When reporting a vehicle or incident, you will only need to provide your phone number or email address, so that our system can validate the report. Your details are kept anonymous, so don’t include any personal information in the actual message/report. Be as detailed as possible in your message and ensure that all information provided is accurate. We only process reports on vehicles registered with AutoMessage.

For a positive spin on things, don’t just report bad driving or negative incidents. We welcome complementary reports and messages too!

We kindly ask that vehicle reports are well-worded without vulgar language. All spam and malicious reports will be deleted.
